The clock is flanked by the rare addition of a soldier standing with rifle by his side his female partner is holding a basket and is wearing a striking bonnet. A dog sits at the clock's base, a green top and sponged with blue, black, and ochre all around the side, typically associated with the Mexborough Pottery located in Yorkshire.
