A fine Yorkshire pottery money box or bank. Named and dated Sarah Jane Green Grimsby 1848. Interestingly the decorator of the piece mis-calculated the space required to enter the name and consequently adopted a rather fetching solution with the surname Green. This money box is a miniature replica of the Wesley Methodist Chapel in the town of Mexborough. Attrubuted to the Emery Pottery located in Mexborough and closed in 1875.
