This pottery money box represents the Wesleyan Chapel located in Mexborough, Yorkshire and the home of several potteries in the 19th century. The savings box has a slit in the tiled roof and is charmingly flanked by cherubs located on each corner of the building. These pieces were often given as gifts and for commemorations such as a Christening, this one with the name Joseph Carlile Sunderland across the front.
