This Yorkshire pottery Prattware bust of a male figure is impressed on the base MR.HENSHAW. The socle base is painted with a feathered blue, ochre, black, and blue sponge decoration with the typical Mexborough Pottery signature. I have attached a picture of another version that shows the title clearly. The portrait likely relates to Thomas Henshaw.  In 1807 he made his will, which bequeathed £20,000 (£2 million as of 2024)] to establish a charity school in Oldham and £20,000 for the foundation of an asylum for the blind in Manchester.
