Staffordshire pottery pitcher, the body is canary yellow ground, and the luster rim is silver-resist decorated. The jug features three underglaze transfer-printed panels painted in enamel colors. One panel portrays the famous Toby Phillpot (Fillpot), his large frame seated on a chair and holding aloft a large jug (titled Stingo) of frothing ale and a pipe in the other hand. The panel under the spout shows a young gentleman sitting under a tree, reading a book. The third panel has a fine illustration titled " The Farmers Arms" and "God Speed the Plough."
