Antique saltglaze stoneware teapot with relief decorated panels the cover with a figure of an animal as a finial. One of the early examples from the Staffordshire potters in the mid 18th century. The baluster shaped pot has eight vertical panels with fanciful motifs.

Current Condition: Restored at cover and handle

Literature: Re.Saltgalzed Stoneware in Early America re. collection in Wiliamsburg page 118 illustrates similar relief moulded decorated panels.
