This is a fine Staffordshire pottery pearlware glazed jug with patriotic sentiment and the inscription G.R. Success to the British fleet. The pitcher is vitally decorated in bright enamels of three British military infantry redcoats or Royal Marines aiming muskets. The reverse is painted with an elegant bouquet of roses and tulips with leaves. The top rim border is delicately painted with flowers and leaves set between a soft green basket weave and a brown line at the rim.  

Dimensions: 7 inches high

Current Condition: Good restoration at the tip of spout.
