This exceptionally rare pottery figure of a tiger is modeled standing on a pink splashed luster plinth base. The ball under the left paw is also pink luster. The face of the tiger is whimsically and extraordinarily decorated with black and orange features. A similar figure of a lion is illustrated in Pat Halfpenny's book English Earthenware Figures, page 105 (1993).

Dimensions: 7.5 inches long

Current Condition: Part of the tail restored by ceramics conservators to the English Royal family..

Description
