A good Staffordshire Pottery pearlware and enamel-coloured bust of George Washington. The half portrait sits on a socle base. The reverse of the piece has a circular plaque inscribed " WASHINGTON ....born 1732 ......Died 1799, with the makers mark Enoch Wood 1818." Below the plaque are symbols associated with the United States: an eagle with outstretched wings and a flowing banner decorated with stars.  

Dimensions: 8.5 inches high

Current Condition: Fine.
