A good and rare antique Staffordshire bust of George Washington. The figure has an applied lozenge on the back with the dates of his birth 1732 and his death in 1799 a date of 1818 is also impressed with the maker mark Enoch Wood and an eagle wings unfurled above a banner. Similar examples of this figure are located in the Metropoliton Museum of Art New York and at Winterthur Museum in Delaware.

Current Condition: Minor restoration to socle.
