A good Staffordshire pottery pearlware bocage type figure group titled TENDERNESS on a scroll-formed base. The reverse of the figure is marked with the John Walton impress device. The modeling, glaze, and enamel decoration are exemplary. The farming couple is placing a garland of leaves and flowers on a sheep, and this figure is one of the few examples where this is original and without restoration. A companion figure to this group is titled FRIENDSHIP.

Dimensions: 7.75 inches high

Current Condition: Minor restoration petals, two leaves, male figures arm ( re-attached), retouched enamels.
