Dated: 1775 to 1785 Staffordshire

A fine Staffordshire pottery figure of the "Lost sheep found". This figure has creamware body and is decorated in coloured glazes and was produced at the Ralph Wood pottery in circa 1775. The figure is very finely modelled and the glazes are refined and beautifully understated.

Dimensions: 9 inches high

Current Condition: Restored.

Provenance: Collection of an English Titled Lady

Literature: Frank Partridge Book Titled Ralph Wood illustrates a similar figure without the square base re;figure ref.74. A similar figure is also illustrated in the book titled The Henry Weldon Collection of English Pottery re. page 281
