A Staffordshire lead glazed pottery figure of a seated squirrel eating a nut. The clay body is a light chocolate color which is naively decorated with dark brown enamels around the eyes and chain, a blue collar and white thinly applied on the base.A rare and unusual piece, an appealing folk art figure from the 18th century.
