The piece is made of colored clays with a lead transparent glaze. The oblong fluted base is decorated with a splashed green, manganese, grey, and ochre oxide colors in the classic Whieldon style.
This figure is a very rare example, and similar pieces with the same theme are located in major collections and internationally recognized museums.
