This comical English pottery figure of a green-colored seated cat inspired by a model made initially by Emile Galle of Nancy France. The cat is wearing a rose pink waistcoat which is decorated with seven blue mice and sports a locket of cheese. The head of the figure has a somewhat playful smile with adoring green glass eyes looking at the viewer. This rare and probably unique homage to Galle equals his work and in a way, surpasses the comical aspect in a very English fashion.

Current Condition: Fine unrestored condition.

Provenance: Retains the paper label of Rogers de Rin of London and then with a private collector in the Cotswolds England
