A fine quality Walton Pottery tree trunk spill vase group titles in black impressed capitals "Flight to Egypt". The group comprises of Joseph and Mary with the infant Jesus with a donkey and fleeing from Bethlehem to escape King Herod's dictate. The piece is exceptionally well modeled and colored with comprehensive attention to detail, one of the best examples of its kind. The reverse of the figure bears the famous WALTON scroll mark

Current Condition: Minor restoration, at donkey's tail,ear, and rope.
