Description
Earthenware lead glazed creamware bodied relief molded tea-caddy in the Pineapple pattern, probably Thomas Whieldon pottery. The pineapple pattern was also produced at the Greatbatch and Wedgwood Potteries in the mid-18th century.
The caddy is a rare version, unusually large scale, and oblong formed, distinct and far less common than the cylindrical examples.
