Antique Staffordshire pottery pearlware glazed enamel colored figure group with bocage depicting a wedding ceremony. The couple are modeled standing under a tree, hands clasped. The vicar is reciting from the bible while the clerk solomnly prays. A tree trunk banner refers to the New Marriage Act, introduced in 1823.
