This rare pottery bocage pearlware figure group shows male and female figures with a group of four dogs dressed in human attire. The male figure plays the pipes, and the female holds a puppy wearing a hat in her arms. A delightful, comical group from the Staffordshire potters and made in the early 19th century. The figure group is in exceptionally fine condition.

Dimensions: 8.75 inches high

Current Condition: Tiny chip at the tip of one dogs paw restored.

Literature: Myrna Schkolne , People,Passions,Pastimes and Pleasures Staffordshire Figures circa 1810-35 page 118 illustrates a similar figure.
