A Staffordshire pottery lead-glazed redware teapot and cover in cylindrical form with good quality engine-turned overall chevron banding, the cover with a fluted acorn-shaped finial. The pot's base has a pseudo-Chinese mark and is probably the work of the Thomas Astbury Pottery located at Lane Delf, dating to the mid-18th century. The diminutive-sized teapot is in fine clean, crisp condition with only very minor chips and remains unrestored.
