The English pottery figure stands on an oblong base and shows Saint George dressed in armour riding his stallion whilst spearing the dragon in the mouth. This life-like figure group is inspired by the bronze made by Fanelli c1580-1661, an artist who worked in England during King Charles 1 reign. This rare and dynamic figure is decorated in underglaze oxides and made in Staffordshire, England.

Dimensions: 12 inches high 8.5 inches long

Current Condition: Replaced spear, professional restoration at the tail, the tip of one ear, and filling of an original firing detail at the left leg of George.
