A very rare set of arcaded border pottery plates with handpainted scenes of figures in rural landscapes.This set is is the work of the enigmatic artist Samuel Williams in circa 1810. Samuel Williams was the most prolific and long-serving artist at the famous Liverpool Factory he was known for his painting of “peasants” figures in rural landscapes.
The set of pearlware pottery plates are wonderful examples of his work.
