Antique pottery set of a relief moulded plates in green lead glaze. The plates have unusual concentric ridges on the underside which is an elegant feature. All eight plates are impressed DON POTTERY a factory producing exceptionally good quality pottery in the early 19thc. The plates are decorated in relief with the United Kingdoms national emblems,viz,rose,shamrock and thistle and wre probably made to coincide with the coronation of King George latterly Price Regent in 1821.
