An exceptionally good pair of Staffordshire pottery figures of calico cats seated on oblong bases, modeled with curling tails and separately modeled legs. The cats have a pert expression with notable enamel black and ochre decoration and date to the mid-19th century.

Current Condition: One cat with minor and good restoration at the back of base, see image.
