A very rare Whieldon type glaze creamware pottery stirrup cup in the form a wolf or fox head. The cup is well defined with good attention to details such as the snarling mouth and teeth. Decoration is with coloured oxides and lead glaze with a blue band around the inner rim. The cup is larger than usual and is one of the rarest and earliest produced in pottery.

Dimensions: 3.5 inches high, 6.75 inches wide

Current Condition: Unrestored with only minor historical wear.

Provenance: Lord Raglan family.
