An antique Staffordshire pottery pine cone bocage group in pearlware and colored glazes and known as PERSUASION produced at the beginning of the 19th century in Staffordshire. The figures are very well modeled and colored, always the case with this very appealing example attributed to the "Patriot Group."

Current Condition: Professional restorations.

Literature: Myrna Schkolne in her book People,Passion,Pastimes and Pleasures Staffordshire figures c1810-35 illustrates a similar figure in Chapter 4 titled Courtship.
