The pottery figures represent Neptune and Aphrodite (Venus) with cupid by her side modeled standing on plinths decorated with a romanesque intaglio head. The figures are exceptionally well modeled and decorated with colored glazes, the distinctive features of the master pottery Ralph Wood. The interior of the figures is dry-bodied and left unglazed. A similar pair is illustrated in Frank Partridge's catalogue titled Ralph Wood.

Current Condition: Remarkable condition with no restoration.
