This rare pair of pottery figures are modeled, one with a cow standing with a calf suckling and another cow her calf lying contently at her feed. The green base has applied leaves and flowers with some shredded clay to simulate grasses. The unusually shaped bocage is decorated with a profusion of yellow and blue flowers. The color decoration is underglaze with the Pratt-type palette. The figures retain the paper label of Sampson and Horne, the renowned pottery dealers formerly located in London.

Dimensions: 5 inches high

Current Condition: Restored horns and some bocage leaves.
