This spectacular Montelupo pottery dish is painted with a male equestrian wearing a plumed hat and holding a large striped banner. The piece dated to the mid 17th century period in Tuscany, Italy. NOTE; Florence's rich and royal families stimulated the growth and quality of Tuscan ceramics from Montelupo. The pottery produced was so famous and popular that it was exported all over Europe.
