A large scale and rare figure of standing poodle modelled standing on a base and carrying a colourful basket of fruit. This figure was made by John and Rebecca Lloyd who are acknowledged as one of the finest makers in Staffordshire. Classic features of their work is the fine modelling and wonderful rendition of the coat with the best shredded application produced. The detail with the fruit in the basket is also exceptional. One of the best and rarest of poodle figures made in the 19th century in Staffordshire.
