A rare Staffordshire pottery pitcher exceptionally well decorated. One side shows a standing figure of a youth with a top hat walking with his dog in an English rural landscape the decoration is typical English style of the late 18th/early 19th century period. The reverse image is Chinese influenced picture delicately rendered of birds on nests with tree branches and berries and leaves. The elaborate border decoration is in the Italian style.
