A fine and amusing example of a creamware pottery cow creamer dating circa 1790/1800 period, probably Yorkshire or Staffordshire pottery. The fat bodied bovine is modelled standing on a thin elegant base and the beast is spectaculary decorated with a profusion of brown spots. The decoration and modelling make this cow creamer a wonderful piece of folk art.
