A fine English delftware blue and white decorated puzzle jug with unusual decoration in a formal Chinese style with figures in a rocky landscape. The bulbous body has a pierced work of stylized flower heads with heart shaped petals on the cylindrical neck with three protruding spouts and a tube shaped handle. An unusual feature of this jug is the lack of a verse or rhyme challenging the drinker to imbibe without spilling. Attributed Lambeth London.
