This exceptional pottery figure features a goat decorated with a blue coat and two yellow birds perched above and is full of rural charm. The relief modeling is very detailed, indicating an early example. The color decoration and glaze are of the highest quality—the rare figure group dates to the end of the 18th century. The hollow tree trunk is made to hold spills if desired ( tapers).
