This extraordinary and rare Prattware pottery zoomorphic figure is known as "neither fish,flesh,fowl or good red herring". The base is made with a loop device behind the head, enabling the dorsal fin-shaped cover to be attached with a silk twist. The piece is sharply molded in relief and applied with the best quality pratt color palette.

Dimensions: 6 inches long

Current Condition: Restored to part of the cover.

Literature: Page 242 Prattware by John and Griselda Lewis where a similar piece is illustrated from the City Museum Stoke on Trent England.
