Prattware pottery figure of a recumbent lion on base late 18th century England

The pottery prattware lion is expressively modeled, the face with a benign expression and the body decorated with large brown and dark ochre spots. The figure is on a stepped hollow base with blue and ochre embellishment around the rim. This piece was produced at the end of the 18th century, probably in Staffordshire, England.

Dimensions: 5 inches high, 3 inches wide, 6 inches long

Current Condition: No restoration and in good condition. There is a firing detail on the back leg original to the figure at the time of making,
