Dated: 1825 to 1830 Scotland

The pottery boot-formed novelty spirit flask is decorated with pinpricks to resemble stitching. The ridged strip on the side of the boot is intended for use as a striker for vesta-type matches. This piece is smaller than the later flasks and dates this piece to the early 19th century. These pieces are sometimes mistakenly referred to as Boot warmers.

Dimensions: 6 inches high, 6.5 inches wide

Current Condition: Good condition with no restoration.
