The pearlware glazed pipe is fashioned in an elaborate coil shape and profusely decorated in underglaze colors. The color palette is often associated with the Scottish potteries, although similar pieces were produced in the North of England. The bowl of the pipe shows two figures in relief who are waving. Similar examples are more often found decorated in Prattware colors. The pipe is in outstanding condition and a rare example with its decoration.

Current Condition: The pipe is in remarkable condition with only some soft tobacco staining at the bowl related to use.
