This pair of creamware-bodied Staffordshire military figures in colored glazes, with their modeling and decoration, suggests an attribution to Ralph Wood Senior. The figures have a high-quality glaze and sublime, restrained colors. They are exceptionally rare, especially as an original pair.

Current Condition: Tip of sword broken as found, restored at neck of figure with peaked cap.
Provenance: Goldfein Collection and with a Jonathan Horne Label.
