A very rare pair of Staffordshire pottery pearlware figures of a lion and lioness standing before an unusual and decorative shaped bocage. The lions are amusingly snarling at a comical looking snake which is peeking out of the branches of bocage. The bases are very well coloured with blue scroll work on the front.

Dimensions: 8 inches high

Current Condition: Restoration to some bocage and one snake.

Provenance: Private English Collection.
