A pair of Ralph Wood figures known as The Haymakers modeled, standing on square bases. They are modeled and decorated with distinctive Ralph Wood artistry. The male figure stands resting on a tree trunk, his scythe by his side; the female companion holds a costrel with refreshment for her partner after the toils in the field. The female figure is impressed under the base R.WOOD. (A similar pair is located in the City Museum and Art Gallery of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England)  

Dimensions: 8 inches high

Current Condition: Restoration by the ceramic conservator's to the British Royal family. Male figure, scythe handle, right hand re-attached and minor chipping. Female figure, hat, crack at neck ad right arm and chip on tree .
