A rare pair of pearlware pottery Fern Pots or flower vases complete with stands and covers. The pots have green acanthus leaf swags and borders, and the handles made in the form of serpents, the entire composition is classically elegant. All six pieces of the set are impressed with the crown device, the mark of the Robert Wilson Potteries located at the Church Works, Hanley, Staffordshire, and operated from 1795-1801. Robert Wilson died in 1801, and Daniel and David Wilson continued the business until 1818. These works were renown for its high-quality pieces, and this is much in evidence with the Fern pots, stands and covers on the website. Fortunately, all parts of the set have survived and remained together for the past 200 years.
