A rare opportunity to acquire a large, impressive, and highly decorative pair of Staffordshire pottery poodles carrying baskets of flowers in their mouths. The dogs have impressively detailed lion cut coats with a shredded clay technique adopted by John and Rebeca Lloyd of Shelton. The pair modeled standing on rectangular bases with rounded corners with the best quality wide gold line. NOTE. John and Rebecca Lloyd commenced operations in 1834-1850. Rebecca continued with the works until 1852.

Current Condition: Professional restoration at tails and hairline at one shoulder.
