This decorative pair of English delftware plates are polychrome decorated with a chinoiserie-inspired painting of a peacock perched atop a rock surrounded by flowers and leaves. The border is decorated with three motifs of flowers and trailing leaves. They were made at the London Delftworks in the mid-18th century

Current Condition: Two chips at the rim were professionally restored.
