A good large-sized pair of Staffordshire pottery figures of Lions with Lambs. The cats are modeled seated on their haunches with the head turned forward with a noble expression, and the figure of a small recumbent lamb nestles between each lion's forepaws. This figure is one of the best figures produced at the Staffordshire potteries in the 19th century, and these imposing large-sized dramatic pair are among the rarest.
