The pottery costrel also known as a pilgrims flask is of a rounded form with fine concentric circles decoration. The shoulders of the flask are applied with two pinch formed handles the neck of flared form with an applied rim which is chipped. The shape has similarities to the output of the Verwood Pottery located in Dorset England.
