Massive 22 inch long pearlware pottery architectural model of an English Hall Staffordshire circa 1815

This large-scale (22 inches long) architectural model of an English grand hall or mansion is relief decorated and embellished with enamel colors and pearlware glaze. The piece was made as a pastille burner, likely produced as a marketing or exhibition piece for the manufacturer. The building has 266 windows and 16 orange-painted doors. The roof featuresĀ  16 holes and numerous smaller holes with a large opening in the center, probably for placing the perfumed pastille lozenge. It is possible that the building represents New Hall, the home of the famous New Hall China and Ceramics works located in Hanley, Staffordshire.

Dimensions: 7.5 inches high, 3.5 inches wide, 22 inches long

Current Condition: No restoration with only minor signs of wear in accord with age.
