London delftware paving tile polychrome decorated with a dog early 17th century

This tile is one of the earliest examples of English delftware. It is decorated with an image of a standing dog painted with blue and manganese, depicted within a blue and yellow diamond form with the four outer corners of an abstract blue design. The tile has two nail holes instead of the usual four, which suggests an attribution to the Rotherhithe delftworks London, which Thomas Barnebowe established c.1638
