A large scale and very rare unusual Staffordshire porcelain centrepiece tree trunk group. The highly detailed and sophisticated piece comprises of a boy climbing a tree to look at a bird's nest with eggs and a companion who is playing the flute with a dog at his side. At the base of the tree lie three ewes and four lambs which are modelled against three waterfalls. The entire piece is covered with a profusion of flowers with a squirrel and a bird in the branches.

Current Condition: Restorations to extremities and branches, firing detail at base.
