This large and unusual Staffordshire pottery pearlware glazed figure of the Dandies is a rare example. The well-dressed couple is modeled standing by a tree with large leaves and flowers on a green base, The group displays well from all angles with interesting gesture and movement.    

Dimensions: 9.75 inches high

Current Condition: Restored at some leaves and leaf tips, at arm, feathers in bonnet and to green enamels

Provenance: Label attached of Jonathan Horne and then with a collector in the Channels Isles.

Literature: Page 240 Chapter 133 titled Dandies, Volume 3, Staffordshire Figures 1780-1840 by Myrna Schkolne and published by Schiffer.
